I am running for RNC Committeewoman for Texas for all of the reasons I wrote about here on my RNC race website, debbieg4rnc.com. I will share with you more of my thinking and views on issues in blog posts over the course of this campaign.
In this era of endless social media commentary, much of it anonymous, storylines of all kinds pop up. Many postings are accurate, many others are inaccurate but sincere, and others intentionally misleading.
So I want to tell you what you can count on from me: I will tell you what I think.
As frequently as possible, I will post my views on the issues on this website. I will continue hosting my America, Can We Talk Show that you can find at AmericaCanWeTalk.org. There you can see and hear firsthand what I think and believe. I will be making public appearances and speeches as the campaign proceeds through May 2024, and you can invite me to do that on this website. Please do!
To dispense with a few of the early social media “storylines” people have already asked me about:
- I chose to run for RNC Committeewoman for Texas after thorough assessment of the potential for this position to be impactful, encouragement from some very wise colleagues, and honest prayer. Nobody ‘put me up to’ running for RNC Committeewoman and nobody has offered to bankroll my campaign (though I’m grateful for a surprising number of early donations).
- A very broad range of national level issues is driving me to run. I respect the idea that some Americans are single-issue voters, but I have never been one.
- Election integrity is a top issue to me. In America, We the People ARE the sovereign, and our very existence as a free people can only be maintained by fair elections. Evidence of systemic election fraud abounds. Ignoring it won’t fix it.
- I respect the right of GOP voters to support whichever candidate they choose in any primary. I also believe that patriotism requires supporting the GOP primary winner after that. The Left’s agenda compels serious freedom-loving Americans to keep power out of the Left’s hands. The “Never” or the “Only” (fill in the candidate’s name) mission opens the way for Leftists to win.
- During his presidency, President Trump made many extraordinary decisions and exhibited bravery and America First-determination on a wide range of issues, from border security to trade deals, from support of free markets to strengthening the military, and much more. He is the recipient of an onslaught of unjustified indictments motivated in my view to prevent his re-election in 2024, and that is not acceptable in America.
