DebbieG4RNC: Republican Women – Stand Up for Women!

Controversy surrounds the just-now-starting National Federation of Republican Women’s (NFRW’s) 42nd Biennial Convention in Oklahoma, related to the aggressive transgender advocacy movement that seems determined to overwhelm America’s schools and culture.  This is the biggest meeting in America of Republican women and includes the presentation of and vote on the slate of officers proposed for next year, including some who appear to embrace and support gender ideology and gender modification.

The controversy arose because in recent years, in several instances, clubs below the NFRW umbrella, state-level federated groups and RWCs (Republican Women’s Clubs) have admitted men (transgenders who identify as women) as members, put them in leadership positions, and even nominated one man who wants to be a woman, for a  “woman of the year” award.

Concerned activists within NFRW are pushing a bylaw that states that membership in NFRW is for real, born-as-female, women.

The entire purpose of the NFRW and the state clubs below it is to support the role of women in the Republican Party. Bylaws have always stated that regular membership with the right to vote and hold offices in these clubs is confined to women.

This is not just about retaining the purity of the idea that Republican women’s clubs are for real women. It’s about protecting women by not indulging the transgender ideology that is disconnected from reality, antithetical to core Republican family and faith values, and causing harm to girls and boys, women and men, all over America.

There are now many instances of adults who deeply regret pursuing hormonal and other gender-altering treatments and surgeries, who ask “why didn’t someone stop me”?  Legitimizing gender ideology and transgender advocacy, by failing to take a stand, perpetuates confusion and danger to young women in our society.

Contrary to popular belief, science is on the side of those who believe in biological gender.  Dr. Miriam Grossman’s recent book Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness, challenges the entire premise that gender is an ideology. She speaks out on behalf of children caught up in this craze.

Republicans and millions of parents oppose gender ideology indoctrination in public schools, and demand that teachers and administrators stop propagandizing children.  The GOP rejects the leftist mission of letting men compete in women’s sports, because we know there are only two genders, and that men and women are different.  We cheer on Riley Gaines standing up for biological women in college sports, and know that she takes slings and arrows from strident transgender activists for doing that. The NFRW should be as brave we expect school officials and Riley Gaines to be.

Republicans are the party that protects and defends children and families from today’s aggressive transgender advocacy.  The NFRW should adopt this bylaw and stand for truth. The decisive step by NFRW to adopt a bylaw defining women for purposes of membership as biological from birth females, would demonstrate leadership, clarity, forthrightness, and respect for women.
